Frequently Asked Questions
The Peaceful Place follows all NYS and Monroe County policies regarding Covid-19. The massage room will be sanitized between each client. According to Monroe County, masking is optional at this time.
You will be asked to fill out a health history form. Your therapist will discuss your history and your goals for the massage. Your therapist will explain the massage techniques and answer any questions that you have. You will be asked to get undressed to your comfort level, laying on the massage table under a sheet. Your body will remain covered unless the therapist is working on that area. There will be an open dialogue between the client and therapist about the pressure of the massage and if the areas of concern are being addressed. Please let the therapist know if you would like more or less pressure or if you would like to have more attention given to an area or have an area avoided. If you are uncomfortable in any way, please let the therapist know.
We are by appointment only and cannot accommodate walk-in appointments. If possible, we do try to accommodate same-day appointments. Please call or text to see if there are appointments available.
Each therapist has their own cancellation/reschedule/late policy. Please ask your therapist for information regarding their policy. There may be a fee for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed or no show appointments.
Unfortunately, health insurance companies do not cover massage therapy. If you have a FSA / HSA card, please ask your massage therapist if they accept this form of payment. Your therapist can also provide a receipt for insurance reimbursement.
